2013 - Rev. Amy P. Shaw
On May 12, 2013 the members of Lake Country Unitarian Universalist Church voted to Call Rev. Amy Shaw as our Full-Time Settled Minister!! Amy began office hours on August 1st and her first service as our Settled Minister was our Water Communion Service on September 8th.
Reverend Amy Shaw brings a vibrant voice and profound energy to her role as a Unitarian Universalist minister. A 1991 graduate of Northern Kentucky University, with a degree in English, a minor in Women's Studies, and an area of concentration in Psychology, Amy was ordained on April 28, 2013 and completed her M.Div at Meadville Lombard Theological School on May 19, 2013.
Amy comes to ministry later in life, but having spent 20 years as a college professor, nurse, and nurse executive supports her strong ability to preach. She creates meaningful worship experiences and provides memorable opportunities for spiritual growth. She is particularly skilled in crafting stories and worship.
Amy and her husband Brian moved from Blanchester Ohio to Hartland in July 2013, along with their cat, Dippy. In her free time, Amy plays guitar, and enjoys writing for both children and adults. Cooking, and creating both traditional and digital art are also hobbies.
