Membership at LCUUC

We invite you to consider becoming a member at LCUUC. Join with others who seek truth and meaning, share questions, insights, talents and resources.

Lake Country Unitarian Universalist Church members form a connected and committed religious community intended to nourish the human spirit, guided by our Unitarian Universalist principles.

We come together to seek out meaning and value in our human struggles, to understand and to be understood, to celebrate our joys and sorrows in community, and to build a better world.

Your Path to Membership

  • Attend Sunday Worship Services regularly and become involved in the life of the church community.
  • Become familiar with our UU Principles, which encourage ongoing spiritual growth.
  • Participate in the UU Orientation Class.

This class is held periodically throughout the year.  It provides a deeper understanding of Unitarian Universalism and more detailed information about church life at LCUUC.

  • Meet with our Minister, Rev. Amy Shaw (262-369-1703 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ).

This is an opportunity to get to know our minister and ask questions.

  • Make a generous financial pledge in keeping with your financial resources.

Your financial pledge supports the mission and programs of LCUUC.  UU churches are financially independent, and so the LCUUC operating budget is derived primarily from the support of its members and friends.

  • Participate in a New Member Ceremony

This is the occasion when you are warmly welcomed and together we celebrate you joining our church community!

Membership Privileges include:

  • The right to vote on important issues concerning the church.
  • A subscription to UU World (a quarterly publication of the UUA).
  • Eligibility to serve as chair of a committee or on LCUUC Board of Trustees.
  • Members are included in our church directory and on our e-mail member lists.
